WD My Book 3TB no storage with wd media player

Hi,

not sure where to post this as cannot see a forum for the original wd media player only the Live & Play versions. I have just purchased a WD My Book 3TB & transferred media files to it. However when I connect to my media player it initially recognised the drive but the folder was empty then it said no storage when I powered off  & reconnected. This keeps happening  & I cannot access my media via the media player. It shows up when I connect the My Book to my PC. I have tried a disk check which didn’t resolve the issue.

Sorry to hear that. Currently, this device is not compatible with the 3TB units.

Last firmware update on the WDTV HD media player was release in 11/2009 and the 3TB unit came out after that.
