Can you attach the WD Sharespace NAS directly to the Ethernet port on the media players and have the player recognize all the drives. (i.e. 4 x 2TB drives in the Sharespace recognized and plyable) or are we still stuck with the 2TB limit of recognized drives.
Yeah, you probably COULD, but why on Earth would you cripple BOTH boxes by doing that?
Thanks for the reply!
I’m not looking to cripple the Live/Live + looking more for a solution on the WDTV first gen boxes I have (Non-Wireless capable), Without running 350-400 feet of cable from the router/hub.
I don’t understand… There aren’t any WD Media players that have Ethernet ports that are not also Wireless capable?
And if your NAS is close enough physically to connect the two together, then just by a cheap $20 10/100 switch and connect them together with that, then uplink back through the original cable that connected to your NAS.
Oh, and by the way, there are NO space limitations when using NAS, only USB-storage.
