Wd media player faulty?

hi all,

new to all this so please bear with me. . . ive had the wd media player for a couple of years now and been working great  until i decided to set it up on a different tv in another room. for some reason it wouldnt appear on the tv at all!!! ive tried various things like trying other harddrives other hdmi cables and also tried the reset and even tried to re connect with the original tv but still fails to respond.

any ideas will be very welcome

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

You can try connecting to your TV with the component or composite cables. If you get video, try going into the setup menu manually select HDMI, and manually select a suitable resolution/frequency and color space. If that doesn’t work (but the component or composite cables do work), the HDMI connector on your WD box might be damaged (bad solder connection to the circuit board, etc).
