Ok I have had enough of this thing they call a network storage device. I have a netgear N600 absolutely no problems with wireless network speed or internet connection. Yet this thing I have had for a month is a piece of And yes I have updated to latest firmware, use the screened Ethernet cable, my Mac can never find the backup drive, it seems to fall of the network at its own accord, very very slow to upload too it, with my Mac 4 feet away from it!! It is and its going back to job whiff, WD this is a piece of **bleep**!!!

But looks like you only wanted to vent and don’t want any help as you don’t really explain what you tried to fix the issue besides updating the firmware and using the ethernet cable
