WD Live Streaming + VUDU Picture Static/Snow

I’m running the latest firmware on my WD Live Streaming player and have it hooked up to a Mitsubishi HC4000 projector (1080P).  Audio is via an optical cable to my receiver.

I rented a movie on VUDU, and several times throughout the movie the picture would turn to complete static/snow (the audio would continue).

The first time it happened I shut the WD Live player down (unplugged/plugged back in) and restarted VUDU and restarted the movie.

The next several times, I would just unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in, and then the picture would return.

I’m not having this problem playing other content from network share, media server, or Netflix.

Any idea what the problem could be?  I’ve watched content on VUDU many times in the past on this same WD Live player without problems (though I can’t say for sure if I’ve watched anything on it since the last firmware upgrade).

No one else has reported anything similar.

Are you still having this issue?

You can try reporting this to Vudu since the problem is only with their app

another you could do is test a previous firmware to see if firmware related

First I would try a reset.  If this does not fix it you can try rolling back to the rpevious fimware.
