WD Live Hub with NAS storage 12TB (4bay)

Hi…i want to buy a new NAS storage 4 bay… that 3TB for each bay.

Is it support to connect and play with my WD TV Live hub?

My NAS is for my movie library.

Let me know if it’s can run it throught network or USB.

Thanks.

I have a 2tb NAS through the network and attached to the NAS is 12 1TB portable drives and it works fine. I just have a problem dropping a drive or 2 ever now and then but I think that is due to the usb hub which I have piggybacked 2 of them to accomodate all the drives doesn’t have enough power at times to spin the drives

How about 3TB drive? Not enuff power? I thought NAS built in which power that can support your drive.

Many multi-bay NAS systems work fine with the WDTV.  I have two QNAP 4-bay that work great.  Never had an issue.

How big your hardisc per bay?

I want to buy Buffalo NAS storage…did you think it will works fine?

I use a Netgear ReadyNas with 4x2TB drives without any problems. However due to the configuration of the NAS i have about 5.5TB space

i have a synology diskstation with 4x3tb that works ok connected via network. The problem you will find is that its not very friendly with current firmware which is one of the reasons i still use 2.07.17.  This unfortunatly means i miss out on some of the features like my media library.  It just takes to long to load each page of metadata as they changed something in the way it cache’s, and for me this problem far outweighs any benifits i get from firmware after 2.07.17.

The diference in page load times are approx 5-10 seconds per page versus instant on old firmware, and when you have around 3000 movies it can be a pain to wait that long

15 TB online… and soon 18…
