WD HDD for Surveillane

Hi All,

please if someone can assit, I already bought 14 1TB HDD for surveillance and I would like to install them all in one system (enterprise NAS) and configure them with raid 6.

I know that I should have buy WD RE for that purpose but now I already have these drives, am I going to face any problem???

noting that performance decrease about 10% is not a big deal for me.

Hi Mazzoun,

Can you provide some additional info like the model of drives that you purchased and what type of system you are going to use? Many manufacturers of enclosures and NAS units have a compatibility list that you can check to see if the drives you purchased are compatible in their units.
