WD HDD 1TB - laptop requesting disk to Drive G

I have the WDBAAF0010HBK-00 hard drive and when I scheduled a my latest back up  with SyncBackSE I am getting the message to “install the disk/media into Drive G and press OK to continue”. As I don’t seem to have a boot disk - not sure if one came with the HDD - and I cannot locate a download program from the net my HDD is not working. Any advice on how to fix this?

Hello,

This drive did not include a boot disk. Make sure the drive is being recognized in the computer. Connect the drive to a wall outlet directly, avoid any extension cords, power strips and surge protectors.

You can also try backing up using the backup software that came with this drive. It is called WD Smartware.
