I cannot access my hard drive and I have a lot of important and irreplaceable stuff on there. I didn’t use it for awhile and then it just wouldn’t work. I haven’t dropped it or anything.
It shows up under devices but not in my computer and I am not sure what to do.
Regarding data recovery, you must go for 3rd party softwares and try to recover, because acc to WD policy, they do not recover data. And for your drive, you should check in Disk management and device manager. Note it: You need to recover data before going for troubleshoot part.
After recovering data go for WD DLG software and check for errors else format using that software.
If anything fails, go for replacement.
