WD HD Media Player Does not access Windows Home Group Files

I am using WD HD Media Player with a Windows 7 Pro computer and the movie files(iso), music tracks(wav) and pictures(jpg) are not available. These files actually show up on the WD screen but when clicked on, they do not activate.

All the Windows folders have been given full permissions and are shared with all Home Group computers. I have restarted the WD player several times, hoping that it would get smarter and eventually get access tothe files, but no luck.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

No surprise there.  WD doesn’t support homegroups.  As documented, it only works with WORKgroups.

Can you direct to the proper documentation, I missed it somehow.
