WD Hardrive Not lighting up but I hear it humming inside

I just powered up my computer today. I opened some photo workshop programs and tons of files came up missing. I saw my harddrive is no longer lighting up. I unplugged it. Changed power sources. Tried using firewire and mini usb. Nothing. I can hear it humming on the inside but no light shows up on the front and nothing shows up mounted on my computer.

Yes I tried it on my wifes computer. Tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. Not working still :confused:
