WD Green inside Maxtor Basics?

G’day,

I asked previously - why wont my Maxtor drive work in a WD enclosure - A. being that non WD drives wont work in WD enclosures.

Well, what about a WD “Green” 1TB drive inside a 1TB Maxtor Basics enclosure?

The WD drives use  a different number of pins on actual and have the bridge board. I don’t know about the other.

I’ve just done the swap, and can report that the “Green” 1TB WD drive is running fine in the Maxtor Basics enclosure.
