Please tell me - if there is a fresh firmware for WDC WD4002FYYZ-01B7CB0?
I has 01.01M02 firmware on all my drives in Synology and got a periodically system hangs.
Synology support guys tell I should install the latest firmware version (01.01M03), but WD support guys is never hears about this firmware.
Google tells me there is a version 01.01M03 available for WD4002FYYZ, but they don’t seem to offer individual firmware downloads or any way to see online when a new firmware is available. Instead they have a single firmware update utility for all of their drives. It is in the software section and is Windows or Mac only.

Unfortunately, this updater doesn’t see the WD Gold. I suppose this updater for WD Smart Drive only (
