WD external HDD not detected, not initialized

hi ,

i have a 1Tb WD external hard disk (only 2months old), it is not detectable in pc

it doesn’t appear in windows explorer. However it appears in device manager and in disk management it shows

Disk1 not initialized

and when i try to initialize it by any of the two options(master, gp…) it shows error

what should i do to make it appear in windows explorer so that i can atleast format it and use it in future

or if possible restore data form it??

I don’t know if you were able to resolve this…

You can try to write zeros to the drive with a formatting utility or with the Windows DLG… This will try to resolve any bad sectors on the unit and it should allow to you to initialize the drive.
