Hi, My 2TB WD external hard drive is not showing while connecting to my system. What can be the reason for this issue & how to resolve this problem? Please help.

Try to connect the drive on a different computer, using different USB cable to isolate the issue.

Sorry for late reply. I tried connecting my drive to another computer & there it is showing connected but I’m unable to access the drive. Will I able to recover data from the drive or its permanently gone??

Same problem here. Device Manager says drive is working properly and can be seen on Eject Media, visible to Data Recovery Tools but files are hard to recover for some reasons…

Having had to reload Backup the External Hard Drive does not show as Backup Target.
File Explorer shows the drive and enables previous files to be accessed.
