My WD External hard drive 1TB is not recognised by my laptop. The problem started when it dropped from height of about one feet, since then it has not be working. When pluged in my laptop, it will just be making a craked sound, the light blinking and it will not boot to display my documents. In fact am totally confused because all my most important documents are stored in it. Someone should help me.

It’s probably physically damaged. About the only real hope is professional data recovery. There isn’t much you can do sorry for the bad news.
