I have a 500GB WD MY passport USB 2.0 external hard disk. I am unable to access the hard drive and its properties are showing 0GB though it has aroung 300 GB data. I downloaded Western Digital Data LifeGuard Diagnostics - WinDlg (DLGDIAG for Windows) v1.27 and has run EXTENDED TEST and it has found some bad secotors. Software also gave option to rectify bad sectors and I had done so. However the external hard disk is still not been accessible.Diskpart and Chkdsk also did not work. I am worried as I have 300GB data on this disk and I need your help to advise me solution to this problem. Please help me how can I access the hard disk and data within. PLZZZ HELP ME

Have you tried using a data recovery software to see if you are able to recover the files?
