I unplugged by WD Essential and now have no access priviledges to the drive. It also seems that a new drive letter has been assigned. When I try to access the drive, it says that i have to be an adminstrator. When I go into the properties I am listed as an admin ( I am the only one who is ever on this laptop) and I am the only administrator.
I am running Windows 7, SP1
The model number of the drive is: wd32001032-001 Can anyone give me a hand?

How did you unplugged the drive? Did you safely remove the unit or just disconnect the drive? Also, have you test your drive in a different computer just to observe the drive behavior?
