Good Day, anyone who can help me formatting above WD ELEMENTS so that I may use it with El Capitan 10.11.1? Thank you.

The drive comes formatted for Windows. you will need to reformat it for Mac.

Thanks Joe, I know that but I can’t understand how to reformat it for Mac. It seems like El Capitan is not “read” by WD Elements …

Im going to have to reformat a My Book Duo 4TB but have not purchased it yet. But I did go to the WD tech support site where they have very good instructions for reformatting from Windows to the Mac. They have instructions for each OS and of course El Capitan.
