WD Elements connects but doesn't mount

Drive has been operating fine from March’15 til September.
MacBook Pro 2015
First Aid says "Problems were found with the partition map which might prevent booting
Operation successful.

Also tried on my older Macbook Pro, but not mounting either.

Hi there and welcome to the WD community.

Try to connect the drive with a different USB drive and see if this way the drive mounts, also in case the drive has a power supply try to connect it directly to the wall outlet for power.

@ArMak Thank you. I’ve tried different USB hubs, different USB cables directly to computer, and different MacBooks. The ‘Elements’ connects, but won’t mount. The ‘Elements’ plugs directly into the computer - there is no power supply. The Macbook Pro is using the power adapter.
