WD Elements + Android TV: is it safe for it be always on?

Hello everybody.
I have WD Elements connected to a MiBox Android TV. But this Android TV does not turn off, it goes into Sleep Mode. The WD Elements remains powered but goes into its own Sleep Mode after a while. So, is it safe for the drive to be powered 24/7 like this?? It’s actually running for like 6 hours a day at the most.
Of course I could unplug the Android TV and WD Elements would turn off as well but when I turn it back on, then the Android TV has to mount the WD Elements again, and that’s annoying and takes longer for it to be ready. So, what do you think??

Although, it is safe to leave a hard drive running continuously as most WD external hard drives will spin down (enter into power saver mode) after 10 minutes of drive inactivity. Once the drive is accessed again, the drive will exit from the power saver mode and spin back up. Nonetheless, Western Digital recommends that external hard drives be unplugged when not in use:
