I have a WD Elements 3TB 2,5" here. When connecting to a computer, instead of mounting, it makes these noises:

Any guess on what is likely to be the problem, how tricky it is to repair and to access/recover the data?
On such cases it’s best to avoid using your unit in order to prevent further damage to the hard drive. Data recovery should be handled by a professional service company since it’s a delicate process.
