WD Elements 1 TB, Problem

Hello,

    I am facing problem with my WD Elements 1TB, that my laptop is taking way lot of time to load the WD Drive and also I am not able to copy or paste anything on it, whenever I try to do that my laptop hangs, I have also checked in my other laptop as well and also on tablet. I diagnose it with Quick Test and it gave me error "Status Error = 05 (Failed electrical test element ) " and when I vist  Disk Management it only loads and loads but shows me nothing while the WD Drive is connected. Please help me, I don’t know how to resolve this issue.

Hello and welcome to the WD Community.

As a recommendation, take the information out of the drive and reformat the unit and test that again.

I have already mentioned that I can not put anything in or out of the Drive, so I am unable to take out my data from drive. Will the reformat restore the situation ? As I was getting “Error Status = 05 (Electrical Element Failed)” , what does it mean ?
