WD Element 1TB portable is not accessible

My 1TB somehow got loaded near to full and after that it became inaccessible. While I plug it to PC USB it is showing K:\ is not accessible. Access is denied.

I have done some checking with tools downloaded from WD portal and from 3rd party but unable to access the drive.

In my computer, the drive is getting displayed fade.

In, Windows Disk Management, it is showing 931.48 GB NTFS Healthy (Primary Partition) Free space 12.96 GB 1% Free No Fault Tolerance 0% Overhead.

In, Device Manager, under Disk Drive it is showing WD Elements 10B8 USB Device. If I click on General Tab under Properties, it is showing Device is working properly. If clicked on Volumes Tab, and then under Volume->Properties it is showing used space up and blank space clearly.

So, it seems like it can be recoverable. Can you pls help me out, so that I can access the drive and get my old data back. Pls help

Have not ever had the problem … so i googled it

not a wd site … but worth having a read, as it sounds like a OS problem
