I have a 3TB EHDD. I recently deleted a bunch of very old backups and now I can’t access my files (photos) that are on the HD. It says I have to format the disk - but if I format the disk it will wipe my drive clean (can’t do that!!!).
Is there a work around for this?

I would recommend you to try and connect the drive on a different computer to access the files.
