I have a 4 tb WD Easystore that I use to back up my WD My Cloud. I plug it into the My Cloud via the USB in the back. Yesterday I plugged it in and ran the USB backup jobs I have created. Today when I tried to connect the Easystore directly to my MacBook it showed up in Disk Utility but will not mount. I ran First Aid and that came back clean. Any ideas why will it mount to the My Cloud drive but won’t mount to my MacBook?

It is recommended to connect the hard drive directly to the computer’s USB port and avoid a USB hub, try out different USB cables and USB ports. Connect the drive to a different PC to isolate the issue.
