WD DX4000 fault on one drive

Hi there,
we have a WD DX4000 with 4 drive RAID 5.
Yesterday, maybe for a blackout, the system was rebooted and showed up an error on one disc (WDAUDIO: Drive Failed).
But it started and it seem to be working good.
If there a way to make a check on this unit or a log to detect the error code?

Thank you.

Hello,

The server itself will verify the system automatically and will let you know if there’s an issue or not. You can check the server status by going to the “Monitor” section from the dashboard.

Hi,

we read those errors from “Monitor” section from dashboard…

Thanks for your support!

The box has RAID which means it will keep going if one drive fails. It was designed if a drive failed you just got a replacement drive and put it in and it would automatically rebuild the raid. The problem is the box was designed 10 years ago and you can no longer find replacement drives.

Their is a patch on the wd support site called drive enabler which allows you to add unsupported drives. My thoughts are drives are designed to run for X number of hours. If one has failed it may be close to time for the rest in this old box. I would be looking for something newer.

The first step is to copy off any data you might want to keep if it dies. After you have a copy of the data you might try to re-seat the drive(s)

Thanks for your help.
Your answer is very reasonable.
