WD drive only showing first 320 files via Twonky

Hi WD community. First post, have tried searching, but cant find a solution to my problem…

I have WM MyCloud 2TB, Firmware 04.05.00-327 (i think model WDBCTL0020HWT)

I use this as a network share, and to stream media to my Samsung TV. I have a folder shared as “Films” with, currenttly, 363 items in. For the last 18 months, this has worked perfectly, and i mean PERFECTLY, with no issues at all.

All of a sudden, within the last few weeks, i am unable to access all these files. My Samsung TV will only show the first 320 in that folder. Tested on 2 x Samsung, and 1 x Sony, can only ever see the first 320 files…

I have looked within the Twonky settings, and swapped the navigation tree option to all 5 options (Mobile, Classic, iPod, Folder, Advanced) whichever setting i use, i can still only view the first 320 files…

I have tried reboots, system only restore, twonky defaults, re scanning AND rebuilding DLNA database, changing IP’s, as well as testing on different media devices. Can access all files though windows, just not when streaming. Updated firmware this week, made no difference.

If i add (eg) 5 files (alphabetically) to the start of my db, they appear, but i will lose the last 5 from the other end - in other words only the first 320 appear.

Any ideas or suggestions? I’m guessing i could break my files down to within folders, but this had never been an issue before, as I have had over 500 files in a folder before, and always been able to see them via twonky / dlna.

Any help would be wonderful - thanks in advance!

@andymoore Are you able to provide an image of what you are seeing so we will know what you are looking at when you see these 320 files?

Hi Cat0w, Sure…

I have recreated the problem from scratch, and attach pics of the process…

01 - shows a new folder on local PC, called TEST. This folder has 594 photos in it (named 001 upwards…)
02 - shows WD UI showing 594 files in share (photos)
03 - Shows twonky server, sharing folder correctly
04 - shows root of test folder on TV
05 - shows contents of test folder - in this case, only 299 files, not 594…(i took the picture quickly before thumbs generated just for my own privacy - the thumbs do generate, and you can view files properly, just not all 594 of them)

On looking into this a bit more, it doesn’t appear to be a size limit issue, and its not a rigid “320 files display” as in example above there should be 594 but are only 299.

Re canned and rebuilt DB, no change.

@andymoore Have you gone into Twonky and tried setting your share Films to Videos only from the menu. Be sure to Save Changes. Check to see if this helps show all your files. See example image below. Click on, tap or activate image to enlarge it.

Hi - yes i have tried all that. Tried on each setting, and have re scanned & rebuilt DB while showing Photos / Photos & Videos / Videos / All content ect. Makes no difference.
