WD Caviar Blue, missing memory

I recently installed the Caviar Blue Hard Drive which contains 320 GB on it. However, when I look at my storage it only reads 120 GB.

I am currently running a Dell, Desktop Windows XP. I was told to update my Bios (which is currently “Bios Revision a03”), but I am not sure on how to do so.

Any help wouldbe appreciated.

Windows XP supports a maximum capacity of 128GiB / 137GB. You need to apply the Service Packs to see the full size of your drive.

The BIOS also needs to support 48-bit LBA mode.

What is the model number of your Dell box?

Is your 320GB drive the only drive in the PC?

If not, did you clone the original drive to the new one?
