New WD Blue 500 gb. After install and power up it is detected but my boot drive is not and the computer won’t start. Power down and remove WD Blue cables and restart with boot drive fine. I’m not sure what the problem is, anyone had this happen before. Please help!!
What is it? A laptop or desktop or??? Some PCs have the option at boot to press either F8 or F12 (BIOS dependent) to select the boot device. Booting in this manner does not save the procedure but will allow you to boot from devices you have connected. You might need to enter BIOS to set the boot drive to the proper drive in the Boot options of BIOS.
You could also switch the drives around inside the PC. Put the new one on the old ones cable or reverse the connections on the motherboard.
