ok i purchased WD Blue 1TB from Newegg, to replace an older HD, but the cords don’t match? not sure what kind of cords i need to plug it in. (yeah i’m new with putting computer’s together. and hope i asked in right place?)

The one on the top is a IDE connection, the drive you purchase is a SATA drive and use the connection listed on the second photo. You need to purchase that cable.
