wd blue 1tb error: the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

how to fix please help me

Hi,

I’m not an expert on drive but try this:

  1. Go to Control Panel, then Device Manager.
  2. Under Disk Drives look for one called WDC WD(digits) and select it; this should open a Properties box.
  3. In the Device Status box it should say “The device is working properly” If it does, try using Microsoft Help on their web site.
  4. If you get a different message select the ‘Driver’ Tab and then 'Update Driver" tab.
  5. Follow instructions and see if that helps.
