I bought a WD black 4TB 3.5” drive and it would beep on startup and not be recognised neither by the bios or the system I got it replaced and the new one also has the same issue if anyone could guide me that would be awesome.
How is this drive connected to your PC?
Sata 3 6G I’ve tried other drives wd4tb red, wd1tb black 2tb black, ssds, 2.5hdd on the same power and sata cable they all work
Have you tried opening Disk Management to see if it’s listed there?
(Right Click Windows Start button select Disk Management)
Yep I did and it’s nowhere to be found.
No expert here but it sure seems like it’s another bad drive.
