I downloaded the WD Backup software, but it only finds DropBox. I still have WD Smartware software installed and can run a backup with that. Why doesn’t WD Backup work? Using the drive on a Windows 10 laptop.

Have to tried to uninstall and re-install the WD Backup software?
I have not tried to uninstall and re-install the WD Backup software, but will try that immediately.
I downloaded the new version 1.9.6354.
Now WD Backup recognizes the My Book external drive, and I was able to initiate a backup. Doesn’t seem to recognize the previous backups made by the older software, and is painfully slow! I started a backup at 5PM and at 6:01 PM it shows 4% complete. At that rate, it’s going to take 25 hours to backup 160 GB, which is much, much slower than backups with the old software. Is there anything else that I need to do?
