WD Back up Set up cannot find my laptop

I’m trying to back up my laptop on the the My Passport Ultra and I continually get the message that no back up targets are found. My Passport is recognised on my drive and the light is on constant. I have already copied some other files on to the Passport from someone else’s computer but these were selected manually. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Also, I am able to boot in safe mode. There I get this weird error: here I have tried everything, including cleaning the inside off dust and replugging the Passport Ultra, but nothing seems to work. I don’t know if it is in the hardware of software but I REALLY need someones help.
