WD Anywhere Backup

I have a My Book World (White Light). I can’t find the WD Anywhere Backup software to download.

I tried downloading the WD Backup software, however, it only gives me an option do backup to my dropbox account. It doesn’t detect the World Book NAS drive.

You can download WD Anywhere Backup from WD’s support site:

My Book World Edition (white light)

Head over to the Products tab, then highlight Legacy & Other Products. Select the My Book category, then browse for the WD My Book World Edition.

However, please not it will not work with Microsoft Windows 8 or Windows 10.

Thank you much Trancer. That’s just what I was looking for.

On a side note, Chrome has produced a warning when attempting to download.

Note to WD. You should look into this as google has not only given this warning but also auto deletes any downloads and requires me to take special action to download the desired file. At this point I will have to run anything through multiple scanners before feeling it is ok to use.
I would highly recommend adding SHA or some other verification method for downloaded files.
