WD 8TB drive corrupting files it appears..but

Many of my files are now showing corrupt when I try to open the files. Sometimes I have to open a file using another program but one quick and annoying work around is to copy the file over to my Flash drive then open it.

I am curious if these drives are not so much backward compatible with older USB ports?

Unsafe ejection of the device can cause data corruption and missing files.You can try it on different computer and with different USB cable to isolate the issue.
