hi I got my drive in april, it’s a 750GB black(WD7502AAEX), and it has constant spinning noise, kinda like sqeaking but I can tell the noise is made by the disk and header.
First i thought it’s normal so I didn’t bother, because it’s a black and it should be louder, until 2 days ago I went to my friend’s house and he has the exactly same hard drive as me, but his harddrive doesnt make that kind of noise. He bought his about 2 months before me and both are new drives, does anyone know how to fix it and will it cause data loss in the future?
