WD 500 GB External USB Drive Problem

I have WD 500 GB external USB Drive formatted as NTFS, it works fine with Windows XP(32 bit) but when I try to use it with  Windows XP(64 bit), Windows Server 2003(32&64 bit), Windows Server 2008 R2 it starts appearing and disappearing.

When I try to explore my files it suddenly disappears then appears again and this drama goes on. I’m using it on  SUN X4200 M2 Server Machine which supports USB 2.0 also.

Is there any recommended solution ???

None of the Western Digital external USB drives work with WHS.
