WD 4Tb Black shows only 1.8Tb capacity after Mac Formatting

I’ve just bought a brand new 4TB WD Black internal drive. I’m using El Capitan ( OS X ), and no matter what I do the drive is reporting a size of only 1.8TB and not 4TB. Below are screen shots showing the disk utility and the drive in question:

Does anyone have any idea how I can get the drive to display at the correct size.

do you have a windows pc??
i dont use macs so i cant help you in a mac Environment

Hello,

It looks like you are using a USB hard drive enclosure. Are you sure it supports hard drives up to 4TB ? Maybe it doesn’t.
