I used Roxio to make a dvd, accessing the 3 tb, when the dvd was finished, the computer froze, and since then the 3 tb does not show up in my computer, it shows up in disk management and says it needs to be initiakized, don’t want to lose my info.
Hello, sorry to hear that you cannot access your files, it is possible that some of them got corrupted. With the help of a data recovery program you should be able to recover most of your files. Using Google you can find several options.
Recuva http://www.piriform.com/recuva is a free data recovery program. EaseUS and several companies have recovery software that is try and buy. You can recover a small amount then buy it if it works for your problem. It sounds like the drive is corrupt something like TestDisk http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk might fix it.
