My 2TB ultra seems to be ok for putting data onto or retrieving from (usually). but only on one of my computers. For any other computer it initiates and then just gets hung up or gives me a access denied. After checking permissions it allows for all read/write to everyone.
Another big problem is installing programs/games/etc to the hard drive. Downloading from steam or installing from any game TO the harddrive fails. The only work around I have found is to install to the computer and then drag that installed folder to the hard drive, then run the program from there.
After searching online for a solution, I have found nothing. I would just like a HDD that functions as a storage unit that I could just plug/play etc, but this added software is kiling me. Can anyone please help me out? I got it to use between computers and this is maddening.
