I have a xps 9100 with a 1tb primary drive.  I tried to add a second drive a wd 2tb  drive, but I keep getting AHCI port 0 device error message at startup.  I have moved the 2tb drive to different port number and even switched cables all with with the same error at startup.

If you install the drive and access the computer BIOS, are you able to see the drive?
