put movies +photoes on hardrive but cant play them back on tv as it says does not reconize
Hello, you need to be sure that the File system that you are using (NTFS, FAT, HFS+, etc) is compatible with the TV. If the file system is compatible, you also need to verify if the files that you are trying to play are compatible.

Many video devices need to be formatted FAT32.

Formatting will delete everything on the drive see if this helps

Fat32 also has about a 4GB file size limitation if I remember correctly. May be something to take into consideration, depending on what format and resolution your movie files are in.
