Connections can be made via wifi whethter on the new ipad(3rd, wifi) or my mobile phone(hTC One SV).
However, it just didn’t work once i turned off wifi network and enabling 3g only.

Have you tried getting an access code on the dashboard? You need to open a browser and type http://mybooklive and hit enter. Then Hit “Settings>Remote Access>Mobile access”
You can add access and then get the code. On the app, you need to click on add device and then “WD Device” then it will prompt you for an access code. Type in the one gathered on the dashboard and hit activate.
This should work.
