WD 20 EARS capacity problem

I have a 2TB drive but windows sees it as 1TB

I tried to use capacity restore software but could not succeed.

Once I updated my bios and it went upto 2TB, after the nezt restart, it went back to 1TB, hopefully I had not placed any data in it?

How can I get 2TB out of this hd?

Please help

Hi there, if you had to update your BIOS then are you sure it is able to support 2TB drives? WHat if you test it on another computer?

I tried on 3 different computers.

Finally I sent it to WD Service Center, we’ll see.

Your symptom is consistent with a bug in Gigabyte’s Xpress Recovery BIOS.
