Hi All, I am completely new to this forum AND not very technically minded so please help but keep the techno jargon to as minimal as possible I am over 40 and won’t understand much without a white stick and guidance ! :smileyvery-happy:
My problem is this . . . . My 1.5T HD external Hard drive is where I keep all my “completely legitimate” films
Well they all play superbly on my PC without exception and the folders all read exactly as I have renamed them in alphabetical and chronological order ! (bit OCD) BUT when I link the drive to my brand new TV and view the films via the on board media player SOME exibit different qualities, appear differently and play incorrectly ? AND most confusingly some are visible AND play but are NOT visible on the drive when linked to the PC ? IE films previously deleted ?
I have checked in the trash on the PC and the hidden trash on the drive and emptied both BUT still I see 3 or 4 films I have deleted ages ago ! They play perfectly on the TV but seemingly do not exist on the drive ? Can they be in the media player ? It is a NEW Panasonic 65" HD 3D TV
The unusual players are just as strange ! One such series only plays its volume via the TV IF the Blue Ray player I have is switched OFF if it is on the files have no volume ? Some play in semi fast-forward ? Some not at all ? Weird !!!
Any ideas or thoughts on these annomolies are welcomed ! :manfrustrated:
Cheers
Eddie
