Hi. At my company we recently hired another editor for videos in another state. Right now we currently use a My Passport to host all the video files and I’m wondering if there is a way for us to pull from the same hard drive with the distance?
The MP is just a USB hard drive, so any kind of sharing would need to be set up via the PC that it’s plugged into. It will depend on whether the new guy is on the same network as that machine or if he’s entirely remote, but if you have a local LAN or similar network that he can dial into with a VPN or such like then you can just share the MP as you would any other internal hard drive and have him access it over the network in the normal way (SMB or maybe NFS).
