Warranty without receipt

So someone on eBay is selling WD RE4 drives, i’ve checked the S/N number and it says it still has warranty till 2019 but can I even redeem the warranty without receipt? If I have the drivel, S/N number and I can prove I have it will that be enough IF it breaks and I need to RMA it? I’ve read the policy a bit and imo it sounds like “we’ll decide if you can RMA it”. I hope someone can clarify this for me.

I’d strongly advise against obtaining hard drives without a receipt from an unauthorized reseller on eBay.
