Wake on LAN doesn't work - MyCloud Mirror Gen.2 + Fritz!Box 7360 SL

Hi,

as the thread name already says, I’m unable to wake up the MyCloud Mirror (Generation 2) when it’s in sleep. The dashboard is unavailable obviously, so the only way to wake up would be via Fritz!Box Web Interface (correct me if I’m wrong) by clicking on “Start this computer” behind the MyCloud (needless to say that it’s activated in the Fritz!Box), but nothing happens. See the screenshot (in German):

Is there a setting I have to do in the dashboard or do I have to open some ports (uPnP is activated as well)? All devices have the latest firmware (MyCloud: 2.11.140).

Thanks in advance. Your help is much appreciated!

What happens when you try to use WD Access to resume your NAS’s activity from sleep?

Hi,

What do you mean with WD Access? http://mycloud? Where would I find this option?
Thx in advance.

Cheers
Chris

WD Access is a separate app. You can download it from the following link:

Hi,

I don’t seem to find an option which does wake up the My Cloud or which lets me set anything like that. Do you have an idea where to look?

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
these applications are really confusing. You have to install WD access to have wake up option activated in WD quick view. It make really no sense and it is really annoying that WD left you without answer!

…so four years later, a new FRITZ!Box (6590 Cable) and OS5 on the MyCloud Mirror, but Wakeup On LAN (WOL) still doesn’t work. When clicking on the “Start computer” at the bottom of the dashbord (see screenshot), nothing happens. And WD Access isn’t supported for OS5 anymore. Any ideas?

Cheers
Chris
